Sebastian and Paetrice was another one of our couples, who came from completely different backgrounds and culture (She’s Trini, he’s German) but ended up in Tobago to start their journey of marriage. Coincidentally, we shot Paetrice’s sister’s wedding seven years ago and it still stands as one of our favorites…
The wedding venue, was the always spectacular Ohana Villa and when we met to talk about their wedding for the very first time, they had just two very specific requests, one of which was to capture them as the was sun setting. While we always try our best to give our couples what they want, that weekend, the weather had a mind of its own. The rain fell all morning and all through the ceremony and was still falling when it was time for portraits. Luckily, Father let us use the church for the formals, which was more than we could have asked for under the circumstances. Just when it seemed all hope may have been lost for any sunset photographs, the rain stopped, the sky cleared and we were able to get some beautiful sunset images.
While we had no real control over it, we were glad we were happy Paetrice and Sebastian got what they wanted, they are a really cool, down to earth couple who deserve all the happiness they can find.
Congratulations!
