When Martin & Krystal wrote us about coming to Antigua for their wedding, we were pretty excited about it, not only about the idea of heading back to Antigua (which by now is like our second home) but we were really looking forward to shooting at St James Club because we never shot there before. It turned out, that the excitement about the wedding extended way past the new location and us heading back “home”. Not only did we shoot the wedding but were we able to do our first Antigua Relationship Photography workshop that weekend (the wedding was on a Monday).
If I have to describe Martin & Krystal’s wedding I would say the RAW interactivity, relationship and energy of the entire wedding was amazing, not mention the creativity in putting everything together. This was only further enhanced by the beautiful backdrops of St James Club location. Everything about the wedding was detailed, the overall theme was music and out of that there were some things we’ve never seen at a wedding before 1. The guests leaving messages of love and encouragement, on old Peaches and Herbs vinyl records. 2. Friends and family having to sing for their supper, literally. (but done in good fun). Each table had to do a rendition of a love song before they got to head over to the dinner buffet. Some even went a bit further and did choreographed dances with their song. 3. Sorority & Fraternity dance blitzes. (Spoiler alert, the ladies were good but the men hit with the speed of lightning and made the place shake like thunder, sorry ladies). There was something about this wedding that felt like everyone who came to be a part, was actually a part. It felt intimate, it felt special and it felt right.
Congratulations Martin & Krystal.
