Sekou & Taheera’s wedding was one of our great weddings in the first half of 2014 that we never got around to blog, however since are quickly approaching the end of 2014, we didn’t want to leave the year without sharing these wonderful images. Also, its not often that I (Juma) meet a groom that is just as tall (maybe taller) than I am…as a matter of fact, I can safely say that Sekou is the tallest groom we’ve ever shot. The wedding was held at Ortinola Great House, in the beautiful hills of Maracas St Joseph. Every time I think of Ortinola, words like “picturesque” and “backdrop” come to mind. Sekou and Taheera really took advantage of that, having their ceremony in open air, between the great house and the undulating knolls. It was a simple but extremely detailed and elegant affair, from the lace in the plunging neckline of Taheera’s dress, to the touches of pink in the entire bridal party (including the stitching in the buttonhole of Sekou’s Jacket) and rustic settings of pitch oil lamps and classic books decorating the reception tables. We enjoyed shooting the wedding and we want to wish Sekou & Taheera continued growth together.
Congratulations!
